Phil Mueller - President
I am the General Manager of Moab Communications LLC/KCYN-FM/KCPXAM in Moab. I also host the morning show (6 to 9 a.m.) on KCYN FM and do a morning talk block on KCPX AM. I have been with the stations since 2003. My wife, Lou, and I have lived in southeastern Utah since 1987. My career has taken us to major cities in America including New York City and Washington D.C. We are very happy to be settled in SE Utah! Currently I serve on the Canyonlands Regional Travel Council. For 8 years, I was chairman of the San Juan County Economic Development Board and Travel Council. In recent years I have also taught business development courses for the Association of Governments. I am a strong advocate for business development and see the Moab Chamber as a major catalyst in the future of the Moab Experience. I would like to see the entire Moab Business Community sharing in the membership benefits of the Chamber. |

Jason Taylor - Vice President I am
currently the Moab Area Manager for Western River Expeditions and the Moab Adventure Center. I have served on the Grand
County Travel Council and am currently on the board for
the Utah Guides and Outfitters. I understand that being
on the Board of Directors is a huge responsibility and
I am very excited about the board and the direction the
Chamber is heading. The Chamber is doing a great a job
and we need to carry this momentum forward in the future
and create a strong economic backbone for the development
of the community. My goals for the Chamber of Commerce
are to see the community grow economically and to find
creative situations to help main street business grow
in the next few years. We have challenges we need to deal
with now, such as main street road construction, that
if not dealt with, will have an impact on all our businesses.
We also need to look at ways to make our community stand
out and we need to work hand in hand with local agencies
to promote our area to visitors outside of the area. We
also have a commitment to better our community for the
people of Moab. The Moab Area Chamber of Commerce is a
vital part of our community and I would welcome the opportunity
to be a part of such a strong organization. |

Bob Ott / Lodging Association Appointee
I
am Bob Ott and together with my wife, Lila, we own and
operate the Moab KOA Campground and have done so for the
past 6 seasons. We moved here in 1999 from the Cleveland,
Ohio area where we were both professionals. I have been
a business executive and owner most of my adult life,
have a business degree and am familiar with all aspects
of owning and operating a business, though I have only
recently become involved in civic activities. I am currently
a member of the Moab Chamber of Commerce and the Moab
Lodging Association and sit on the board of the Lodging
Association. My view of the Moab Chamber of Commerce is
that it should be a good neighbor of the community and
assist businesses in being more successful and resourceful
in meeting the needs of the community, both the local
community as well as the tourist community. This includes
providing programs for the continuing improvement of local
businesses and being the businesses' advocate when dealing
with local government. I am aware of the demands and responsibilities
of being a board member and will dedicate the time and
effort necessary to make a contribution to the Moab Chamber
of Commerce,‚ its board and its goals. |

Patricia Holyoak / County Council's Appointee
My husband Gary and I have lived in Moab all of our married life. He is a fifth generation Moabite. At the present time I am a Council Person for the Grand County Council. I have found this to be very interesting. I have learned a lot about the issues we face as a county, as a community and as citizens in the state of Utah and United States. Prior to getting involved in government I worked at Four Corners Mental Health as the Office Manager until I retired. I also worked for First Western National Bank for many years. I raised a family of seven children, of which I am very proud. We have 19 grandchildren that I adore. I love Moab, and love the people here. |
