2008 Chamber Board of Directors

Phil Mueller /Interim President
I am the General Manager of Moab Communications LLC/KCYN-FM in Moab. I also host the morning show (6 to 9 a.m.) on the station. I have been with KCYN since 2003. My wife, Lou, and I have lived in southeastern Utah since 1987. Currently I serve on the Canyonlands Regional Travel Council and have been on that board for several years. For 8 years, I was chairman of the San Juan County Economic Development Board and Travel Council. I have been involved in teaching business development training for the Association of Governments. I am a strong advocate for business development and see the Moab Chamber as a major catalyst in the future of the Moab Experience. I would like to see the entire Moab Business Community sharing in the membership benefits of the Chamber.
Jason Taylor /Vice President I am currently the Moab Area Manager for Western River Expeditions and the Moab Adventure Center. I have served on the Grand County Travel Council and am currently on the board for the Utah Guides and Outfitters. I understand that being on the Board of Directors is a huge responsibility and I am very excited about the board and the direction the Chamber is heading. The Chamber is doing a great a job and we need to carry this momentum forward in the future and create a strong economic backbone for the development of the community. My goals for the Chamber of Commerce are to see the community grow economically and to find creative situations to help main street business grow in the next few years. We have challenges we need to deal with now, such as main street road construction, that if not dealt with, will have an impact on all our businesses. We also need to look at ways to make our community stand out and we need to work hand in hand with local agencies to promote our area to visitors outside of the area. We also have a commitment to better our community for the people of Moab. The Moab Area Chamber of Commerce is a vital part of our community and I would welcome the opportunity to be a part of such a strong organization.
  Teresa (Wyatt) Heinz / Treasurer
  Beth McCue / Secretary
Marcy Till / Director
My husband, Tom, and I started the Tom Till Gallery in 1997 and have operated this Moab Main Street business for the past eight years. We have been members of the Moab Area Chamber of Commerce for most of that time.

Jeri K. Hamilton / Director
Branch Manager for Eastern Utah Community Credit Union’s Moab office. Prior to working for the credit union Jeri enjoyed assisting small business and was the Small Business Development Center Director for the Carbon/Emery County Area and the Program Manager for Business and Economic Development for southeastern Utah.

Jeri enjoys many outdoor activities, especially running and riding her motorcycle.

Jeremy Hoggard / Director
Jeremy is owner of an office products company. Since 1987, GetGo Office Products has grown to be recognized as the experts in digital office equipment throughout South Eastern Utah.
Marian DeLay / Director
Executive Director of the Moab Area Travel Council for the past 11 years. Prior to this she was the Front Office Manager and Sales Director of the Ramada Inn in Moab. She is presently the Treasurer for Utah Travel Regions Associations and Utah Tourism Industry Coalition; she is co-Director of Canyonlands Travel Region, Chair of SUNPARKS (southern Utah National Parks advertising coalition), a member of NTA, TIA and the Moab Area Chamber of Commerce. Resident of Moab for 26 years, originally from the East.
Bob Ott / Lodging Association Appointee
I am Bob Ott and together with my wife, Lila, we own and operate the Moab KOA Campground and have done so for the past 6 seasons. We moved here in 1999 from the Cleveland, Ohio area where we were both professionals. I have been a business executive and owner most of my adult life, have a business degree and am familiar with all aspects of owning and operating a business, though I have only recently become involved in civic activities. I am currently a member of the Moab Chamber of Commerce and the Moab Lodging Association and sit on the board of the Lodging Association. My view of the Moab Chamber of Commerce is that it should be a good neighbor of the community and assist businesses in being more successful and resourceful in meeting the needs of the community, both the local community as well as the tourist community. This includes providing programs for the continuing improvement of local businesses and being the businesses' advocate when dealing with local government. I am aware of the demands and responsibilities of being a board member and will dedicate the time and effort necessary to make a contribution to the Moab Chamber of Commerce,‚ its board and its goals.
