12 Noon: County Planning Commission Chair Markus LaFrance and City Planning Commission Chair Kara Dohrwend will present about our County and City planning processes and how best to provide input into the development of our community.

Speakers: County Council Candidates will introduce themselves to Chamber members and describe their platform and why they are running for County Council. The presentations will be followed by a question and answer period.

Moab Area Chamber of Commerce 2008 Lunch Meeting Schedule and Information
The board agreed to change from a bi-weekly lunch meeting schedule to a once per month
schedule. These meetings will take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at noon at
designated restaurant, from noon to 1pm.

The lunch schedule will be posted 3 months in advance, announcing speakers and
their topics; as well as the Speaker Sponsor for the month. This information
will be published in the Happenings and TT calendars of events, and in a monthly
Press Release, announced on the radio stations, as well as in the Chamber
newsletter and members' email reminders
The format for each meeting will include a welcome from the restaurant, brief
remarks from the Speaker Sponsor business, a 30-minute presentation by the
featured speaker, and finally, community announcements. A brief agenda, as well
as the menu for each month will be published a week in advance of the meeting.
Speakers will be invited who can address specific community issues and topics that
are relevant to local business concerns and the economy.
Speaker Sponsors will receive the following benefits for a $100 fee:
- The business is highlighted in all luncheon announcements and
advertisements (newsletter, blast fax, calendars, ads, etc.)
- The business can set up a promotional booth at the luncheon and hand
out promotional materials
- The business receives a list of contact information of those attending the meeting
